Every project begins with a discussion about budget.

My goal of that discussion is to get a sense of your ballpark budget so that we can discuss which services would work best. 

Understandably, some clients are hesitant to provide a budget for fear it will lead to a higher quote, but I promise you that my goal is not to determine the maximum amount I can charge you. My goal is to provide you with the best solution for the price you’re wanting to spend.

There are a lot of variables that determine a project’s cost, such as lead time, type of deliverables, number of concepts, rounds of edits, etc. Once I know what type of investment you would like to make, I’m able to create a customized design plan to reflect that.

For example, if the budget is tight, I might suggest a longer lead time and a limited amount of concepts and edits. Whereas larger budgets would allow for a faster turnaround and provide you with more concepts to choose from.

A quote is created to reflect your unique needs.

Based on our conversation, you will be provided a custom quote that contains a scope of work (S.O.W.). A S.O.W. defines the specific tasks, deliverables, timelines, and boundaries of a project or piece of work. It essentially outlines what work will be done, how it will be done, and when it will be completed.

The price provided in the quote can be considered firm, unless there is a change to the scope of work.

A non-refundable deposit is required before work can begin.

A 20% (minimum) non-refundable deposit is due at the start of every project, and is calculated using the project quote.

A large payment (typically 60%) is due after I deliver concepts.

The final payment is due at the end of the project, and must be received before deliverables are provided to the client.
